Chapter Email Registry

Many of our members have email capability, but have not registered with the Chapter. If you have email capabilities send your name and email address to retireechapter@retireechapter.org.

Please check your email. We are getting return messages on some accounts:
“Your message couldn't be delivered to xxxxxxxx.com. Their inbox is full, or it's getting too much mail right now.”
We want to make sure that you don’t miss any important correspondence from the Chapter.

                               Medicare Part B Reimbursement Checks

You must be on Medicare for at least 1 year before you can receive your Medicare Part B reimbursement. For example: you joined Medicare in 2024, you are not entitled to a part B reimbursement for 2024. In 2025 you can apply for your reimbursement by contacting the BSC office and follow their directions.
If you have not received a reimbursement, check in the past and you feel you were entitled to one, please let us know who you are by sending an email to
retireechapter@retireechapter.org. We will forward your name to the Local.

When you receive your reimbursement check from Transit, keep track of the year and date you are being reimbursed. The checks don't come out the same time every year. Surviving dependents are NOT eligible for Medicare Part B reimbursement even if they are under Aetna Option #2 and receiving COBRA coverage after the death of the retiree.
If you are new to Medicare, please contact the BSC so they can update your file and send out any necessary forms that may need to be completed.

There are no changes as of this time to our health care plans.
